Iconic Mosque

This Project is Teamconsult’s participation in a mosque design competiton, in Dubai UAE, sponsored by Emaar .

It is located in Dubai near the Creek Tower and is connected by green bridges that allow pedestrians to safely and easily access the mosque.

The conceptual design was developed to represent a contemporary mosque that won’t go under the influence of the other landmarks of the area.

The design was developed with a goal to have a monumental mass, that is attractive and inviting. The mosque is surrounded by an open area for holding other religious activities and festivals.

The building is also designed to be sustainable on the physical and material aspect all while satisfying energy efficiency standards.

The mosque consists of the main prayer hall and a semi-shaded plaza that is attached to the main hall which can also be used as a prayer area during prayer times.
