Driven by the belief that development projects can improve people lives, the objective of the Kuwait Fund is to assist Arab and other developing countries in developing their economies as a form of creating a solid bridge of friendship and solidarity between the state of Kuwait and the developing nations.
The 50 Million USD grant to the government of Sudan by the Kuwait Fund went towards educational and healthcare building.
The project aimed to offer various benefits and improvement to the communities of Kassala, Al-Qadarif and Red Sea States.
The Main Components of the project were:
- 6 High Technical Centers.
- 6 High Agricultural Educational Centers.
- 12 Services Educational Centers (Boys & Girls).
- 16 Rural Hospitals (50 Beds).
The services provided by the consultant included:
- Design services
- Tender documents preparations.
- Tenders evaluation process.
- Construction supervision & contracts management for Kassala state which consisted of; 6 hospitals, 2 high technical centers, 2 high agricultural centers and 4 services centers.
